Sevruga Caviar
Sevruga Caviar
Sevruga caviar is harvested from the Sterlet sturgeon (Acipenser stellatus) which is native to the Caspian Sea and produces roe from the age of 8 years onwards. It can be distinguished from its more expensive Beluga and Osetra caviar by the size of the roe which are generally smaller between 2.2 to 2.5 mm in diameter. Its smaller pearly grains are pale to dark gray in colour and have a distinguished silky smooth flavor with a long subtle after-taste. Sevruga caviar has the strongest flavour amongst the sturgeon caviar.
Our Sevruga Caviar is packed in tins of size 50g, 125g, 250g, and 500g. The shelf life is between 30 to 45 days when properly stored and refrigerated between -2°C to +2°C (no freezing) but should be consumed within a few days after opening.
